“Go Clean the house”, Grandma said
I was explaining Grandma my dilemma and looking for some expert advice while visiting her during Diwali holidays.
“You are not interested in speaking with me. Every time I ask you for a solution, you give me some useless work”, I complained.
Unaffected by the complaint, she kept knitting a muffler for my brother.
“And who wears mufflers these days? You also stop doing all those useless works”, I shared my frustration with my grandma.
She kept her knits and unfinished muffler aside and asked me to sit next to her.

“What you call useless tasks is the key to ideas, solutions, and the womb of creativity. You are the one who understands the problem the best; hence, you are the one who will find an appropriate solution. When you pressurize yourself to find a solution, you will never get one. I am also aware that you cannot sit in meditation and let your thoughts flow to find the appropriate solution. So, by doing mundane tasks, you are letting your thoughts flow,”, Grandmother explained.
“These are your tricky ways to let me clean the house.”, I protested but still went on to clean the house.
But as I kept cleaning, I could see solutions pop; ideas breed and light on a new path.
It was great to read this; as I kept reading, I kept learning………….
